Fain Barker, PhD
Associate Director, Community Partnerships
Fain Barker has over 18 years of experience serving young children and families. She leads the work of the Implementation Team in training community partners on how to progress through the FCI Pipeline Phases of Consultation, Orientation, Installation, Implementation, Certification, and Expansion. Fain has a B.S. in Psychology from Appalachian State University, M.S. in Child Development and Family Studies from East Carolina University, and Ph.D. in Special Education from UNC-Greensboro, focusing on Early Intervention/ Early Childhood Special Education Leadership. As a wife and mother of two beautiful children, Fain both professionally and personally understands the importance of early maternal and infant health to the family unit.
