OUR WORK

At Family Connects International (FCI), we believe that every newborn deserves the best possible start in life, which is why we offer our Family Connects model to all families—foster, adoptive, and bereaved parents included. Our approach provides a free, nurse-led home visit to offer a maternal and child health screening and connect families to local services tailored to their unique needs.

But our support doesn’t stop there. FCI ensures that families are fully connected to community resources by following up after referrals to ensure the connection is made. By focusing on building strong ties both at home and within the community, we help families and their newborns thrive. We work closely with local partners to reach at least 60% of families in a community, helping to create a robust, community-based care system that promotes optimal maternal and child health and well-being.

Real Families, Real Impact: Hear Their Stories

“I recently got to experience the immense benefits of the Family Connects program when I had my daughter. It was such a huge relief to have a nurse come to me during some of the hardest weeks I’ve experienced yet, trying to adjust to my new life as a working mom.”

“Sometimes you don’t know where to get support from, or how to take that first step. Family Connects knew that we were a new family that needed help, and they took the first step to guide us.”
